Rise by Ascend The Throne
Ascend The Throne dropped their seven track album Rise back in January and it is a modern Hard Rock album with some greats songs. These songs are well crafted and could easily be singles in their own right but the beauty lies in the album. The album plays out almost like an epic battle would. Despite facing the darkness the first three songs make reference to rising. In the title track ‘Rise‘ it’s “The rise will always be there’. There’s a hopefulness surrounded in the dark and there is faith that things will work out in the end.
The second track ‘Vultures‘ is now deep in the thick of this tormented hell and despite all of that “Across the great divide we rise again’. Which leads us to the track ‘Shell Shock‘, while we still see a sliver of hope in the lyric “From the bottom we shall rise’, It’s now clear that things have gone severely wrong and loss of hope is imminent. Oh my, how will it all turn out? I guess you’ll just have to go listen for yourself. Have a listen to the first song Rise below.
