Bring Your Alibi by Hezen
Hezen recently dropped a new single titled Bring Your Alibi and out the gate it’s a mid tempo, infectious, Elecrtopop hit. While on the surface you’ve got this track that could make everyone in the club get up and dance, the lyrics actually hold a lot of weight and depth to them. Inspired by the #meToo movement, Bring Your Alibi is almost sort of an anthem for the inner strength and courage it takes to come forward.
I’m loving the fact that Hezen took on this topic. Not only does music help give people a voice, and that’s what Bring Your Alibi does, but Hezen‘s soft vocals against this strong back beat is very representative of how many people in this position feel. However, about midway through the song the, still ever soft, vocals have a very power strength to them as Hezen firmly declares, “Did you think I’d let you get away with it? Think again.” I hear there’s more new music on the way and I can’t wait to see what’s next. You can listen to Bring Your Alibi below.
