Defenseless by Fractures and Outlines

Fractures and Outlines has returned with their debut album Defenseless which showcases a more mature and refined sound. I’m here to tell you that if you are into the post hardcore scene then this album is for you! First off, let’s see what the band had to say about the album:

Since the EP, we are definitely more mature than our first release. We’re used to working with each other and we’re all motivated to try new things.

Honestly, that’s a great attitude especially when approaching music. Being motivated to try new things will keep their sound fresh which will ultimately keep them in this business for a long time to come! Now, the sound is heavy yet catchy and easy to get into. You will quickly find yourself singing along. The ten tracks are filled with so much energy and passion. No matter where the lyrics go, the depths of despair, contemplation, regret, etc the energy is high almost all the way through. You do get a small decline in that energy with ‘Spades‘ and the acoustic version of ‘Defenseless‘, but not by much.

As amazing as the album is, I’d be willing to wager that the live experience would be even better. I hope they manage to make it out to SoCal one day or even Vegas I’d love to attend one of their concerts! Anyway, drop down below and enjoy the video for ‘Mirrors’. As always, if you like what you hear then let’s keep good music coming by supporting these artists. Remember to follow the artist and spread the word! Artists Links below.
