Brudini recently released the third single titled, ‘Pale Gold‘, from the upcoming ‘From Darkness, Light‘ album, which will be out in November. When it comes to innovation, this is one artist that is pushing the boundaries in a good way. As we’ve seen with the previous singles, ‘Reflections‘ and ‘Emotional Outlaw‘, Brudini never shies away from pulling in musical influences from everywhere to craft his own unique brew and ‘Pale Gold‘ is no exception. Here’s what he had to say about his latest single:
The song taps into different emotions. It´s a tale of someone far away from home, slowly realising how the newfound reality diverges from his ideals. Mournful, as the view on the world around him changes, yet liberating in that moment he finally decides to abandon his old battles and seek out a new course
He further states:
The release coincides with the UK leaving the EU, and me ultimately abandoning London, the liberal, multi-cultural bastion which has been my home for the last 13 years. And the song echoes my sadness over both these events, yet maintains a sense of hope for a new future and shift in my priorities as I return to my homeland, Norway, to be closer to my three year old daughter.
I have to hand it to Brudini. This artist puts a lot of thought into creating music and it’s hard to believe the atmospheric sound of ‘Pale Gold‘ wasn’t intentional. It has that old world vibe, something you’d hear in movies just as one is set to leave their world behind in search of something new. Which is exactly the feeling the song gave me when I first heard it. After reading what he had to say about the song in the press release all I could say was “Bravo”, since that is pretty much what I had envisioned. You should definitely check out ‘Pale Gold‘ and you can do so by dropping down below. As always, if you like what you hear then let’s keep good music coming by supporting these artists.
