Here Comes the Snowstorm by Martha Bean

Here Comes the Snowstorm‘ by Martha Bean was released last week and this five track, Alt Folk EP, was inspired by events in Martha’s life. Some of those events where good like becoming a new mom and all the joy and fear that entails, which is heard in the song, ‘When I Hold You In My Arms‘. On the other hand some events were bittersweet as expressed in the song, ‘Beneath the Shadows‘: All of which produces a well rounded EP that feels like a full length album. Here’s what Martha had to say about the ‘Here Comes the Snowstorm‘ EP:

Life rarely brings blocks of pure joy or pure despair. More often the emotions – hope and hopelessness; gravity and levity – all bleed into one another, and I hope these songs reflect that.

Well they certainly do. The storytelling throughout ‘Here Comes the Snowstorm‘ is impeccable. You find yourself being drawn in. I could (and did) listen to it for hours! There is just something extremely intriguing and hypnotic about ‘Here Comes the Snowstorm‘. I encourage you to go listen to it!
