Jasmine Rodgers just released the single, ‘Flies‘, which is the first single off an upcoming EP. ‘Flies‘ is about how life is short and how we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously because we’ll miss out on all the wonderful things life has to offer. Rodgers vocals are warm and crisp, yet mirror the seriousness we place on our lives. The prominent guitar riff is like a guiding light which draws the listeners attention into what is being said. “People can take life too seriously, but life is so short in the grand scheme of things. But it’s a bit of a double-edged sword, as that is probably why people take it so seriously and make certain choices about the way they want to live”
