Black Hat by Ambush Vin
Sci-fi music pioneer Ambush Vin is back with his new single ‘Black Hat‘. Now if you don’t know by now, He is a master lyricist that drops nothing but bangers and ‘Black Hat‘ is no exception! Yeah, I don’t care what you say that’s 💯. Look, we’re talking about a sick flow, brilliantly articulated lyrics, and music so perfect that, when all combined, just elevates this artist to another level.
Music is never just about the lyrics and this is an artist that understands that and really makes sure what is put out is of the highest quality. ‘Black Hat‘ is the epitome of that. I don’t know if the following is going to show up elsewhere but it was on the press preview and the depths to which Ambush Vin articulates his music is bar none. I thought it imperative you guys read what he had to say:
Are you a hero…or a villain?
Personally, I always find the villain of the story to be a lot more interesting than the hero. Heroes rarely have a true cause. They just have this silly universal moral code that they believe everybody should follow because it’s the “right thing to do”.
Who are they to tell us what’s right or wrong? Today’s norms were yesterday’s evils. Don’t recruit me for your universal do-gooder ish…
Now, villains on the other hand…
Villains always have the best backstories, and are normally complex geniuses. Most of the time, they didn’t choose to be who they are. We made them who they are, and now we have to deal with the consequences!There are thousands of odes to the heroes, but not many songs dedicated to our favorite villains. Black Hat is a 3-minute rant and tribute to the villains in our favorite fandoms.
