Dreams of Desire and Torment, by the blackened death metal band Oculum Dei, contains eight tracks of chaotic, dark and unholy epicness for you to consume. Each of the songs have a mixture of tempos sporadically sprinkled throughout, yet done with such creativity that it adds depth and character to the atmosphere. There are beautiful dark melodies in the riffs and solos and powerful blast beats. Here’s what the band has to say about the album;
The album as a whole is an eclectic mix of slow dark black metal jumping into extreme black riffs sometimes slowed down with a death metal riff and into acoustic guitars. There is no set template for this one, just a groove and feel that each of us has brought to the table.
