Circle the Wagons by Steve Balsamo
Circle the Wagons by Steve Balsamo contains six Folk Americana songs with an overall down to earth, soulful, laid back vibe throughout the EP. The lyrics are packed full of imagery and deep meaning all while being catchy, which is great if your the type of person that loves to sing along with songs like myself! I suppose all the vivid imagery makes sense as Balsamo has a background in theater, having starred in the London West End Revival production of Jesus Christ Superstar in 1996. There is a certain theatrical element to some of the songs that would work brilliantly in such a setting.
When you add the softness of the music with Balsamo’s emotive voice the music just comes to life. Truly amazing work from an extremely versatile artist.
