The Times by Bridesmen
Bridesmen released another bop called, ‘The Times‘, and are we surprised that it’s absolutely EVERYTHING! ‘The Times‘ is an empowering and uplifting bop that will give you hope and bring a bit of joy into your world. Here’s what Kenton Chen had to say about ‘The Times‘:
We hurt when we don’t understand each other and we hurt when we are unwilling to change. The best thing we can do is be ourselves within the context of what we were given.
Chen also had to say:
I want people to know that as I have grown and matured as an artist and a human being, I’ve come to realize that my specific experiences of being gay and Asian are not particular to me. My life story reverberates far beyond my specificities, and anyone from any race or sexuality can empathize with the need to belong and be understood.
All of this! I often say, that regardless of these categories we can all relate to what someone is going through. Maybe not on the exact level be we can on our own level. A man doesn’t have to have the ability to get pregnant to understand the pain and suffering of a woman whose had a miscarriage. Perhaps if we thought a little more like this we’d feel less alone and there would be less hate, but I digress.
