Natalie Shay recently dropped the fun and upbeat song, ‘Not The Girl‘, which is a snappy take on relationship woes. ‘Not The Girl‘ is a certainly a bop. With danceable melodies and relatable lyrics ‘Not The Girl‘ is sure to amass a huge fan base.
Here’s what Shay had to say about ‘Not The Girl‘:
This song was written on reflection of a relationship, but more from a perception of understanding rather than a big ‘f*ck you.
Shay also had this to shared:
I love authentic 80s synth and drum sounds, but I also love modern pop vocal lines and effects. And of course lots of guitars. I try to include a flavour of each of those things in my music. It was very important to me that all of the songs had their own unique stamp and vibe but still all fitted and worked together under the same project.
I will say this, Shay most certainly accomplished that with ‘Not The Girl‘. The song has that upbeat Eighties fun pop feel but with a modern update. You can listen to ‘Not The Girl‘ down below.
