Olive Louise released the single, ‘Bad Things‘, which is about Olive’s struggle with anxiety, feeling alone and as if no one understood. ‘Bad Things‘ is a dark pop song with a nice flow that goes well with the lyrics. Olive vocals really stand out and showcase the range and creativity Olive has. Here’s what Louise had to say about ‘Bad Things‘:
The main message behind this song is that even when you feel like no one gets what you’re going through or like nobody is really listening, you aren’t alone and you shouldn’t let it stop you from being open. Don’t bottle anything in. It is okay to feel your emotions and to be upset when life gets tough, but then own that feeling, and let it propel you forward.
That’s certainly a great message and well stated. It’s important to note that we all deal with and process situations differently. So, just because you seek out help doesn’t mean that person is the right person to help you. Be it professionals or friends and family, they may mean well but they aren’t the only ones. If someone isn’t working out for you keep searching. Help comes in the most unexpected ways sometimes, so don’t give up.
