Sometimes searching the internet can be a blessing and that certainly was the case when I stumbled across the single ‘Under the Sun‘ by the German band, Pawn Painters. ‘Under the Sun‘ is a song about unrequited love. It starts of somewhat mellow yet you can hear the tension of the music and the lyrics want to explode and that’s what the song does. Once ‘Under the Sun‘ hits the chorus it bursts at the seem and continues to grow with a tormented pain until it peaks a minute before the song ends.
The intensity and vigor of the vocals encapsulates the mood of the lyrics while the instrumental arrangement paints the backdrop to this story of unrequited love. ‘Under the Sun‘ will leave you wanting more from this talented band.
