Actors by Local Sports
I came across a double single EP today called ‘Actors‘ by the Pop Punk band, Local Sports. The two songs on the ‘Actors‘ EP are ‘Scarlett‘ and ‘Frances‘ which together clock in at about five and a half minutes. ‘Scarlett‘ is a song about the struggle between needing to rest and being obliged to keep going. This is nicely portrayed by the break between that first verse and the abrupt interruption that follows, seemingly demanding that all be given despite the costs. I’m sure a lot of people can understand how that feels. I can’t wait to hear more from Local Sports so let’s hope we are lucky enough to get more music in the future!
‘Actors‘ is a great duet of punk songs that are certainly worth listening to. At five and a half minutes long it’s almost negligent not to, at the very least, give it a shot!
