New Self Titled EP by Local Nomad

Local Nomad’s new Self titled EP

Local Nomad has a new Self titled EP which contains five song some of which were released as singles right before the EP was released. The EP covers a variety of topics with a variety of soundscapes for each song that are all pulled together and flow from one to the next effortlessly, yet, every song can stand alone as its on single! The witty lyrics and irresistible grooves make it easy to fall into the EP headfirst. Here’s what Michael Desmond had to say about the EP and the meaning behind Local Nomad’s name:

I got out of a six-year relationship, my uncle passed away in a tragic accident, and I graduated from college. The only way I was able to slow my mind down was to write. I look at this body of work as a time capsule, as it represents a snapshot of life during this period of time.” He chose a name for the project fused with dichotomy. “Local Nomad is the resistance of sedentary life. It’s about seeking the strange and embracing the unknown. Wondering. Wandering. Young and Old. Everywhere and Nowhere. As cliche as it may sound – when I pick up a guitar and sing it’s the only time I feel at home.

There’s no doubt that is well represented on the EP. The combination of songs on the EP express a vast breadth of life experiences.
