Jordan Suter recently released the single, ‘Pablo‘. The song is about the downward spiral of a drug fueled bender and the consequences of it. Through vividly depicting lyrics Suter takes the listener on this chaotic trip. The guitar offers embellishments to enhance the overall experience. Suter’s emotive vocals deliver the story with all grit, vigour, and intensity befitting the story. Here’s what Suter had toSuter say about ‘Pablo‘
I wrote “Pablo” after walking up on a heated conversation at a hometown bar between one of my friends and a local cocaine dealer. My friend for sure was in the hole for a lot of money because he hadn’t paid for his drugs.
That same friend came and spent a weekend in St Louis (stayed at a hotel downtown, not with me). While visiting, he spent a night on the Illinois side of the river at the casinos and strip clubs, undoubtedly coked out of his brain and losing his money.
I got a phone call from him the next morning laying out the night “I’ve gone and done it this time, last night I went and lost my mind.”
So, “Pablo” is the hometown drug dealer, cocaine, gambling, and everything that gets encompassed by that lifestyle.
Suter has a gift for storytelling lyrics that could rival legends! Overall, ‘Pablo‘ is a great song that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat and have you singing along.
