I’ve Had Enough by Stephen Kellogg

Stephen Kellogg recently released the three song EP titled, ‘I’ve Had Enough‘. The EP deals with real life issues which encompasses love, pain, and joy.  With only three songs on ‘I’ve Had Enough‘, the EP is incredibly versatile in sound and easy to listen to endlessly. In the title song, ‘I’ve Had Enough‘, Kellogg takes on the overwhelming aspects of life with and upbeat sound. ‘Ghost‘ is a song about his wife’s miscarriage. It’s understandably a darker song about grief and so gently written. Honestly, at least to me, ‘Ghost‘ plays like a beautiful, albeit tear jerking, love letter to his child. Last song on the EP is ‘Love Me as I Am‘. Sonically it’s in between the other two. Lyrically it’s about loving a person for who they are both the positive and negative. ‘Love Me as I Am‘ is an outstanding example of both acceptance and self-acceptance. Here’s what Kellogg had to say about ‘I’ve Had Enough‘:

“When you’ve been on the road for two decades straight, it’s not super easy to adjust to a complete stop, but 2020 made that the only option,” Kellogg says. “I found both pain and joy in the halting of momentum. These three songs speak to the emotions I’ve experienced this year, and I hope it speaks to others and can be of some comfort the way it has for me.”

Kellogg is undeniably a brilliant songwriter and ‘I’ve Had Enough‘ is certainly an EP anyone can relate with. Make sure you check it out! You can listen to ‘I’ve Had Enough‘ down below.
