Empathy Project by Caroline Ferrante is an eight track album that is quite possibly the epitome of seeing the world through the eyes of another. The songs are written from the perspective of what it might be like to experience the world of other people and at times Ferrante’s past self. This gives the listener, as well as Ferrante, a chance to empathize with the artist as well.
It’s an interesting concept for an album as we are all taught the admonition ‘to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes’, which we often forget to do in today’s society. Nonetheless we could use more empathy in the world and less judging. Have a listen to the track ‘Reckoning’ below.
