This Is for You by Monti
When singer songwriter Monti released the debut five song EP ‘This Is for You‘ a new and powerful voice emerged out of the shadows, and we should all be paying attention. Here is an artist who has managed to eloquently craft the experience of a turbulent past into songs and as a result these songs will empower anyone who comes across them. As the relationship kept getting more and more unbalanced I realized my partner had started to build a castle around his emotions, and wore his cowardly crown proudly as he allowed his fears to push me and love further and further away metaphorically speaking.
‘This Is for You‘ is an album filled with emotional strength. We have the single ‘Cowards Castle‘ which tells of the devastating affects of a co-dependent relationship. However I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention ‘Echo‘. ‘Echo‘ is a powerful anthem of hope with beautiful and soulful vocals.
