My Own Creations by As I May
The Finnish modern metal band, As I May, just released their second album titled My Own Creations. This nine track album is a heavy hitter and is well paced from start to finish, with hints of Metalcore’s dynamic melodic roots. The band had this to say about the song ‘Cure Is Worse Than Disease‘:
‘Cure Is Worse Than Disease’ is the most modern sounding song off of the album. It has a lot of dynamic. It’s really easy listening with melodic parts and a couple of seconds later you’re getting a hard heavy beating. It also shows the power of silence. Silence can be equally powerful as the heavy hitting part when placed in the right places. The track can be best described as a touch of post-hardcore and newcore.
Overall this is a great second album for the Finnish band. The production is top notch, the songs are well done and, in its entirety, ‘My Own Creations‘ is a great album to throw on when you need help getting you through your day!
