Awry by Junaco
Last week the five track debut Indie Folk EP, ‘Awry‘, by Junaco was released and the songs deal with the aspects of life in which one must try to overcome and/or come to terms with. Here’s what Vocalist Shahana Jaffer had to say about the ‘Awry‘ EP:
The underlying theme is about coming to terms with experiences and hardships we have faced and finally putting them out there. It’s very healing
The album as a whole has a very spacious atmospheric vibe going on. The soft vocals lull you further into all the things that may go “Awry”, as songs like ‘Willow‘ are almost hypnotic. Lulling you in with the sweetest of “oooohhhh ohhhh ohhh”‘s it’s already too late when midway through the song it changes, almost as if the sun has come up.
