No Overhead / No Liability by Ryan Zimmerman

Ryan Zimmerman released the seven track album ‘No Overhead / No Liability‘ a few weeks back which has a very clean retro Indie Rock sound to it. However, at times there does seem to be a mix of Classic Country Rock and Americana sensibilities as well. This mixture of genres makes for an interesting album that is well rounded and has a nice flow from start to finish. Here’s a bit of info about Ryan from his website:

Ryan Zimmerman is a singer/songwriter from Long Beach Island NJ. He is a roots musician dedicated to his craft of songwriting and performing live. Ryan started his music career on the Jersey Shore, where he currently calls home. An avid music fan and performer Ryan draws his influence from early roots performers up to todays consummate guitar players and singers. His windmill rhythmic guitar style is reminiscent of Ritchie Havens and his deep room filling voice summons Mark Sandman.

You can certainly hear the different influences in Zimmerman’s writing. As a result, the album has a wide breadth of different musical ideals which are mixed in a way that makes everything come together nicely.  So why not drop down below and listen to the song ‘My Woman Done Left Me‘  and hear for yourself. As always, if you like what you hear then let’s keep good music coming by supporting these artists. Remember to follow the artist and spread the word! Artists Links below.
