Happy by Dime Box Band
So in my never ending quest for more music I came across a wonderful album called ‘Happy‘ by Dime Box Band and this delightful album was such a treat to find! In life we all will, at one time or another, experience good and bad times, the ups and downs, the betrayals and the goodwill. However, through it all we choose how those experiences will affect us and thus the title track ‘Happy‘ reminds us “Might as well just be happy no matter what comes.” It’s so simple yet so difficult to achieve for most. Don’t get me wrong, the album tackles some heavy topics, including the song “Keystone” which is about the Keystone pipeline.
You see, ‘Happy‘ is the type of album that is proof that you can handle the ups and down and frustrations of life with emotional maturity. All that aside, let’s talk music, shall we? Sonically it’s upbeat. You’ll find the catchy melodies and rock and roll guitar solos irresistible! I dare you not to dance. The songs have well thought out concepts and lyrics and the album itself has the feel of seasoned musicians creating a well rounded album. It’s refreshing to come across albums that are so well put together. A rarity in this day and age.
