Along The Lonely by Martha Bean

Along The Lonely‘ by Martha Bean is out now and this song really makes you question your motives for wanting to be in a relationship. You’ve seen it in movies where two strangers enter a bar, both looking for a little companionship. Maybe they’re not exactly what they are looking for in a mate but they settle for going home with each other because they are lonely. Yeah, that’s how this song feels. There’s a sensual aspect to it but even that feels hollow. However, Martha does a wonderful job of bringing that to life through those warm, wistful vocals. Here’s what Martha had to say about ‘Along The Lonely‘:

“We all need someone,” says Martha, “and that can be beautiful. But some people just want a ring on their finger and someone to moan at when they forget their anniversary. Is that ‘love’? Is that OK?.

Your motives are something you should take a long look at. Love isn’t a goal and to treat it as such will only cause pain in the end. I love the way the song tackles this topic so beautifully. You can listen to ‘Along The Lonely‘ down below, it’s available everywhere you stream! I look forward to the ‘Here Comes The Snowstorm‘ EP which comes out on the 15th of November.  As always, if you like what you hear then let’s keep good music coming by supporting these artists.
