New Self Titled Album by Shookrah
I recently came across the ten track, self titled album by the band, Shookrah, who have crafted a sophisticated R&B, Neo Soul sound all their own. Their sound is modern and fresh with hints of retro soul and complex neo soul textures. Add that with the deep and funky bass, some synth grooves and the stylistic percussions and you’re up and moving before you know it. Then there are the powerful, soulful and sassy vocals from a strong, sophisticated and experienced vocalist, which gives life to each and every lyric! How could you not love every second of this outstanding album?
Certainly, Shookrah have positioned themselves perfectly to make some big moves and they are already making quite a splash on the indie scene. As soon as you listen to the album you understand why.
