The concept behind “before the fog covers me” is an impending feeling of dread and not understanding what’s happening to your body, whether it be mental or physical. The project was started before the pandemic but a lot of what has happened in the last 6 months crept into the overall atmosphere. Whether it be political or social injustices, or the feelings of a “wage slave” mentality, where we tend to work ourselves into the ground, ultimately for nothing.
I love trippy dreamy poppy music, trap production, and metal, so I tried to fuse them all together into an album that I feel like only I could make. I believe Pink Floyd is the greatest band of all time, so I tried to combine some of their aesthetic with the darker trappy sound from the last 5 hearts that I love, with a pop sensibility.
