If you’re a fan then strap in because this ain’t no Sci-Fi music. ‘Shakespeare‘ is brutal reality and it cuts deep. Ambush Vin brings the clever and fire lyrics we all love. ‘Shakespeare‘ is wrapped in pain and heartbreak and delivered with an extra heaping side of mental anguish. You feel every second, every lyric and evolve through the stages as the EP goes from one to the next alongside Ambush Vin. Most of us have experienced some form of loss and that loss is what makes ‘Shakespeare‘ so powerful. Anyone who listens to ‘Shakespeare‘ will instantly connect with it. Here’s what he had to say about ‘Shakespeare‘:
Each song on Shakespeare represents a different stage of grief and maturity level. You will also hear the actual thoughts that I had during each different stage, and be able to detect the difference in my mindset by the end of the EP.
I grappled with emotions that I didn’t know how to control. At times, I was so angry that this was happening to me, because I knew that I had tried my best to be a good husband. However, most of the time, I was depressed. I felt alone and abandoned, as I began the long journey toward finding the only person in the universe who could help me…
You can certainly hear the different maturity levels as ‘Shakespeare‘ progressing from one stage to the next. The overall concept of the EP was well executed. Presenting the five stages of grief as a Shakespearean tragedy just makes sense. ‘Shakespeare‘ gives us an intimate look at the process of grief after a divorce through the creative lens only Ambush Vin could provide.
