From Darkness, Light by Brudini (LINKS)
Brudini recently released the new album ‘From Darkness, Light‘. The album is an emotional and spiritual journey which paints the story of having to delve into your inner self, making your way through the darkness into the light. ‘From Darkness, Light‘ merges seven songs from Brudini with five poems from Chip Martin to give the listener the full experience of this journey. The intertwining of these to artists not only give ‘From Darkness, Light‘ a broad perspective field but also give this project an artistic richness as well.
The album is set up in a way that the listener gets a poetic preamble of sorts for each song. ‘Roselight‘ brings the nostalgic and warm story to the jaded ‘Nightcrawler‘ before descending into the darkness. ‘Hunger‘ mirrors the uneasiness of ‘Reflections‘. ‘Female Rimbaud‘ details the search for a partner that can mirror the final embrace of one’s true self as portrayed in, ‘Emotional Outlaw‘. ‘God Unknown’ follows behind its songmate ‘Pale Gold‘ as the song is an evolution from loss to a new world full of potential. After which follows, ‘Radiant Man‘, a story resilience against overwhelming odds. ‘Ariel‘ is the last of the poems before Brudini walks the listener out of that last bit of darkness and into the light with the songs ‘Everything is Movement‘ and ‘Boulevards‘.
You ‘ve really got to hand it to Brudini’s creativity. Each track on ‘From Darkness, Light‘ not only stands as its own story but adds to the overall story of this journey. Connecting the points together with poems to add a bit more context and depth really gives the listener an in depth look into this journey.
