Of Strength and Sorrow by Exes For Eyes

Of Strength and Sorrow by Exes For Eyes

‘Of Strength and Sorrow’, the newest thirteen track album, by Exes For Eyes is far more mature and a lot darker than their previous album yet well worth the wait for the fans! The band has done an excellent job in terms of mixing this darker sound with their previous sound. It shows their growth, flexibility and future staying potential all while gaining a new fan base and not alienating the old fan base. Here’s what Exes For Eyes had to say about writing the album ‘Of Strength and Sorrow’:

The writing process took so much out of us this album, so the idea of not releasing a song because ‘it doesn’t sound like the other ones’ didn’t even cross our minds. I feel like we knew we were going to release it ourselves on our terms again, so the idea of a 65-minute album didn’t seem outrageous.  You’ll have your favourites the same way we have ours, but these are the songs and we want you to hear all of them. We meant every note and every word.

When a band puts everything into their songwriting you can expect great things to come from all that passion! The blood sweat and tears that went into creating ‘Of Strength and Sorrow’ certainly shows. You should definitely drop down and watch the lyric video for the single ‘Hold On Part 1‘ below. As always, if you like what you hear then let’s keep good music coming by supporting these artists. Remember to follow the artist and spread the word! Artists Links below.
