On the Rocks by Brad Amy
I recently came across the new Brad Amy three track, Alt Country EP titled, ‘On the Rocks‘. This EP blends Country music with some Post Punk and Alt Rock influences and, needless to say, it works very well. The Ep starts out with the song, ‘Girl Without a Heart‘, which is a bit more on the Post Punk side of life. Next is ‘On the Rocks‘, which has that country feel to it, all while maintaining that Alt Rock grit. Lastly, ‘Life and Death Taxes’, gave me big time Jimmy Eat World vibes. If emo music had a twang, it might sound a lot like this EP. I just hope people enjoy it and do their best not to box it into any one particular genre. It was a lot of fun to create and I look forward to people’s reactions.
