Ghost to Follow by Opāru
Opāru recently released the music video for the single, ‘Ghost to Follow‘, which is off the ‘Love Me‘ EP. ‘Ghost to Follow‘ holds beauty in its simplicity. The instrumentation allows for the vocals to stand out and carry the weight of this songs message. Which says a lot about the strength of the songwriting since it doesn’t need to be overly complex to make you feel the emotions being portrayed. Here’s what Opāru had to say:
The underlying theme in my music is the workings of the inner voice. The internal person that lingers buried under insecurities and fears. Why are there so many? Why do we as human beings tolerate environments where these feelings are projected onto us?
Certainly an interesting approach! ‘Ghost to Follow‘ does in fact sound like someone’s inner thoughts and when reading the lyrics it’s easy to see it certainly is true.
