Lost in Your Light by Waiting for Smith
Waiting for Smith recently released the melancholy single, ‘Lost in Your Light‘. The song is about how we’re all lost in one way or another, yet we pretend to be alright with it. The atmosphere is certainly one you could drift away with. The jangly guitars and the bass riff set the mood, as the drums get your feet stomping along with the beat! Meanwhile, Lloyd’s emotive yet easy going vocals give off that “set adrift” or “lost” feeling. Here’s what singer / songwriter Harry Lloyd had to say about ‘Lost in Your Light‘:
“This last year I’ve really been trying to listen properly. As so often we feel the need to fill in our own ideas of what people say to us, making it into a story that suits our worldview, or our image of the person. When you get truly lost in someone’s presence and the light in his or her eyes it’s how I imagine dying to be- you can find a true peace there.”
