Self Titled EP By Cathartic Demise
The new self titled three track debut EP by the progressive Thrash Metal band Cathartic Demise seeks to break free of the genres restraints and create something all their own. Love when these bands that are experimenting and pushing music into new territory. The melodic elements are a nice balance to the ruthless power coming through the speakers. Here’s what the band said about their sound and the EP:
We are something memorable that people can’t get with any other bands. The sound of the band will always retain the idea of creative freedom, while still remaining true to our roots. It will always be thrashy and melodic and we will make an effort to connect to our fans. But there are also no rules; we’re open to trying anything with our sound.
I’d have to say, the episodic track ‘Solar Returning‘ is heavy and a mix of Death and Thrash and pretty much an outstanding introduction to the world. Have a listen to the full EP below.
