81712 by Miss Olithea
Last week Miss Olithea dropped the very personal, heart wrenching, video for the song 81712 which deals with the grief of losing a loved one and all that it encompasses. The visuals complement the music and lyrics so well. Musically there is the simplicity of a stripped down guitar and the emotively powerful vocals of an artist torn and trying to move forward. Her voice gives off so much emotion that there really is no need for filler. I’d even argue 81712 would stand on its own if it were sung a cappella. No matter who you are or if you’ve experienced the loss of a loved on Olithea has the ability to put you in her shoes and walk in her pain.
You can really feel the pain, the confusion, the grief too. As a result the video might just leave you in tears. I am extremely impressed. I can tell so much love went into this painful project.
