Comfortable by Yard Arms

Yard Arms recently dropped a melancholic, alt Post Punk, song titled, ‘Comfortable‘, ahead of their Sophomore EP ‘A Glossary of Broken Humans & Beating Hearts‘ which is due out November 1st. The sound we hear in ‘Comfortable‘, has this beautiful sonic progression where you can imagine the verse playing out in almost an inner dialog way which swells at the moment the chorus kicks in. Following that, the break holds the tension before exploding into this bittersweet burst of emotion. This new EP will take on different themes from their first EP, Maiden’. Here’s what the press release had to say about that:

‘A Glossary of Broken Humans & Beating Hearts’, unlike ‘Maiden’, which was an exploration of heartache and a relationship breakdown, instead focuses more outwardly and is a commentary on the human condition, mental health and trauma.

Yard Arms’ new EP ‘A Glossary of Broken Humans & Beating Hearts‘ shows quite a bit of progression from the previous EP. You’ll want to grab it when it comes out on November 1st as the other three songs are just as good as this one. Until then, the first single, ‘Comfortable‘, is available and you can listen to it down below.  As always, if you like what you hear then let’s keep good music coming by supporting these artists.
